    Hopedale Stable - The Bancroft Library can be
    seen in the background on the right, and the Hose
    House tower is in the background a bit left of center.

    I've included the letter from Bill Barney below, because in
    contains some interesting facts about Coal & Ice, and
    about his father who was the manager of the company for
    many years. Barney, Sr., was also an amateur
    photographer in the first years of the twentieth century,
    and some of his photos can be seen on this site and in
    the book, Images of America, Hopedale.
