    The Bancroft tomb. Buried there are:

    Joseph Bubier Bancroft, November 10, 1821 - November 25, 1909.
    His wife, Sylvia W. (Thwing) Bancroft, June 26, 1824 - April 20, 1898. (Sylvia
    was the sister of Anna Draper and Hannah Draper. The Bancroft Memorial
    Library, given to Hopedale by her husband, was named in her honor.

    Their sons:
    Charles Fred Bancroft, May 1861 - September 1868.
    Charles Bancroft, March 21, 1849 - March 28, 1849.
    Eben Draper Bancroft, August 27, 1847 - April 6, 1925.
    His wife, Lelia (Coburn) Bancroft, September 14, 1846 - October 25, 1915.
    Eben and Lelia's daughter:
    Alice Coburn Bancroft, July 3, 1876 - July 30, 1942.

    The Governor Eben Sumner Draper mausoleum. Interred there are:

    Eben Sumner Draper, June 17, 1858 - April 9, 1914.
    His wife, Nancy "Nannie" (Bristow) Draper, January 15, 1858 -
    September 24, 1913.

    Their son, Eben Sumner Draper, August 30, 1893 - April 17, 1959.

    Their grandson, John Draper Gannett, son of Dorothy Draper Gannett
    Hamlin, October 12, 1915 - December 1, 1977. (Buried on hill outside
    the tomb.)

     The Colburn tomb. Buried are:

    Charles Henry Colburn, August 15, 1834 - July 17, 1896.
    His wife, Frances Eudora (Draper) Colburn, July 26, 1847 - 1918. (Frances was the
    daughter of George and Hannah Draper.)

    Their daughters:
    Helen Louise Colburn, November 9, 1868 - November 29, 1898.
    Alice Draper Colburn DeCartier DeMarchienne, January 7, 1875 - November 25, 1908.

    next lot, near the tomb.

    As noted in the caption for the Governor Draper tomb,
    John Gannett was the grandson of the governor and the
    son of Dorothy Draper Gannett Hamlin.

    Most of the families had children other than those listed here. The names
    above are only those who are buried in or near the tombs.

    In addition to Ebenezer Draper, one of the principal members of the Hopedale
    Community, there are three Eben Sumner Drapers buried in Hopedale Village
    Cemetery. One is the governor and another was his son. The third was the son
    of Bristow and Queena Draper. Evidently at birth he was named Eben Sumner
    Draper, but at some point in his life he dropped his middle name. Perhaps to
    avoid confusion. I hope it helped
