Blueberry flowers in mid-May. They can be found in many places in town. I remember back in the fifties, on many summer mornings, twenty or more kids could be seen picking blueberries along the town line, between Williams and Freedom streets, where the Hill Office Park is now. I'd usually bring a quart home and pick a second to sell in the neighborhood for thirty cents. This picture was taken in the Parkands, near the Rustic Bridge.
