These photos are from an album assembled by Dorothy Draper Gannett Hamlen. “His” in the captions refers to Dorothy’s father, Gov. Eben S. Draper.
The house shown above was originally the home of the Colburns. Later it was the home of the Clare Draper family. Clare was Frances Colburn’s nephew. Eventually the house was razed and Memorial School now stands on the lot.
