The house shown above was originally the home of the Colburns. Later it was the home of the Clare Draper family. Clare was Frances Colburn’s nephew. Eventually the house was razed and Memorial School now stands on the lot.
in New York in 1907, Baron Émile-Ernest de Cartier de Marchienne married American Alice Draper Colburn (1876–1907), the daughter of Charles Henry Colburn and Frances Eudora (née Draper) Colburn. A niece of Governor Eben S. Draper, industrialist George A. Draper and diplomat William F.
