Kennedy, painted by Hopedale native William Draper is unveiled at the Chrysler Art Museum in Provincetown. Richard T. Moore of 25 Bancroft Park will represent Clark University at the 176the congress of the National Student Association in Minneapolis. The Park Department has completed the installation of six new concrete picnic tables in the Parklands.

In a poorly played game on Saturday, on the Town Park, the Draper Co. defeated Attleboro 8 to 4. <><><><><><><><><><> Committee Furthers Plans For Memorial in Hopedale By Virginia Cyr Anyone wishing to make a special contribution to the Hopedale War Veterans Memorial by purchasing a specific item will have an opportunity to do so. Plans for the memorial include two benches which are to be made of Milford pink granite. These benches have a total cost of $1200. Committee chairman Bernard Stock, while issuing an updated report on the memorial's progress following a meeting last week, acknowledged with appreciation the donations which have been received to date, making the privately funded project possible. Dedication of the memorial, which will be located at the Hope and Cemetery street entrance to the Hopedale Village Cemetery, is being planned for Veterans Day in November. It will be dedicated in general to Hopedale veterans of all wars and specifically to those from Hopedale who made the "supreme sacrifice" in wars dating back to the Spanish American War. Names appearing on the memorial will include: Spanish American War: Paul T. French; World War I: Edward C. Burnham, Jr., Davis Gabry, Paul H. Harris, Darrel F. Lindsey, Raymond A. Piper, John M. Raymond, Walter H. Tillotson: World War II: William K. Baer, John Barr, Robinson Billings, Leverett B. Clark, Francis D. DeRoche, Francis X. Gaffney, Lowell K. Hammond, Harry W. Kimball, Richard G. Knight, Donald R. Midgley, Joseph L. Miller, Henry E. Rumse, Ferdnando Peter Spadoni, Francis L. Wallace and Thomas W. Wilson. Also Korean War: Richard Griffin, and Vietnam War: Douglas D'Orsay and John Steel. A number of donations of both money and "in-kind services, as well as materials, have been made by residents and area businessmen, making the much needed memorial possible. Mark Ansart, a local contractor, has donated the site work, and Linda Varney of Varney Concrete Company has donated concrete and gravel. Don Howes of Howes Welding of Hopedale has offered to provide a flag pole. Raymond Andreotti, a local artist, donated his talent providing the artist's renditions of the project. Walter Swift, of Swift's Creative Landscaping, has donated the landscaping and material in memory of the late Ben Phillips, one of the prime movers in proposing the establishment of the memorial. The most recent donations to the memorial fund have been made by: Dr. and Mrs. Noel BonTempo of Milford in memory of Robert P. Wood. Joseph DeRoche of Milford in memory of Francis DeRoche. William Caufield of Hopedale in memory of Kenneth Baer, John Barr, Francis Wallace and Francis DeRoche. The total amount of cash donations received to date, according to M. Russell Dennett, is $13,915. The now- disbanded Hopedale VFW Post donated $5,000 and the Walter H. Tillotson American Legion Post donated $3,000. The Hopedale Foundation provided $5,000. The balance of donations, $915, came from individual donors. In addition to the most recent donors listed above, other donors include: John E. Butcher, Jr. M.
