November 26, 2023. Time to get away from ice cream, and go for tea, coffee and muffins. Saxonville Cafe in an old mill in the Saxonville village of Framingham.

Back to ice cream one more time. Dulce Leche in Ashland on December 3, 2023.

There was a table with materials for customers to use to make Christmas ornaments. We made three and put them on a Charlie Brown Christmas tree by a Charlie Brown house.

Ice cream again on December 10. This time it was at T.C. Scoops in Holliston. The ice cream was very good, but I should have ordered the one in the picture above.

Ice cream Sundays – 2024

February 11. Ice cream at T.C. Scoops in Holliston again. This time it was after a walk on the nearby rail trail to the Phipps Tunnel and back.

February 25, 2024. SubZero Nitrogen Ice Cream in the center of Ashland. A very interesting process, using cooling from liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream. After having our treat, we took a walk to a dam on the Sudbury River to see the splash of water almost as cold as the ice cream.

Ice cream and more at Nita’s on Salem End Road, Framingham – March 2, 2025. First, though, a walk at Cushing Park.

After having ice cream and fresh-baked cookies at Nita’s dining room table for many months, we went to SubZero in Ashland on the first Sunday in June 2025. After having our ice cream at a table in front of the store, we took a walk up the street for a look at the house with the Vermont (aka witch) window.

Eastleigh Farm, Edmands Road, Framingham, June 22. Here’s a bit about it from the farm’s website.

Hanson’s Farm, Framingham – September 21.

Park Stret Ice Cream, Natick, September 28, 2025. After getting our ice cream, we crossed the street to the common and sat on a bench with it. Then we took a walk around the common. We stopped to read the historic marker, and learned that the nearby tree had been planted by Henry Wilson in 1857, and that he had been a U.S. senator and vice president. I later found online that he had been Grant’s vice president during his second term. Wilson died mid-way through the term.

Ice cream Sunday on October 5 was at Dulce d’ Leche on Edgell Road in Framingham. After having our ice cream, we walked along the road and down to the Sudbury River. Click here to read about the Edgell family and early Framingham history. The tree that you see in the picture of the house is the largest ginkgo that we’ve ever seen.
