Hopedale Centennial Parade – Part 1 Part 2 If you’re looking for familiar faces, you’re most likely to find them in the earlier minutes of Part 1 (taken on Mendon Street, a little east of the Hopedale Street intersection), and the end of Part 2, starting at the 19 minute point (taken on Hopedale Street, between Freedom and Chapel). Thanks to Arnold Nealley for this.
Fire truck parade and firemen’s muster – Part of the Hopedale Centennial, 1986.
Swimming at Hopedale Pond – Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 1 starts with about 17 seconds of rowboat fun, followed by lifesaving lessons. Near the end, a beginners’ class is shown. In part 2, there’s not much swimming shown until about the three minute mark. Part 3 begins with about 3:30 of beginners lessons, and then shows some of the older kids. If you’re from that era (wish I knew the year, but I don’t) you’ll probably recognize a few. From movies by Winogene Noyes.
