Building under construction on Plain Street, next to the South Hopedale Cemetery. This was once the site of the South Hopedale School.
In addition to working at Draper Corp, Arnold was a photographer, hunter and fisherman. His memories include his time stationed in Japan after World War II. Click on the picture of Arnold in his darkroom to read about his active life.

Pictures above are from the Cornell bird site. Based on the overall appearance, plus dark legs and yellow beak, it looks to me like the bird on Hopedale Pond must have been a great egret.

Historic balance at Town Hall in 1975. Officials from the State House (at that time) have informed Hopedale selectmen the weight scale is one of the few remaining in Massachusetts.
