I recently received a question on Facebook about the whereabouts of the piece of plane wing shown in the picture above. The picture is from the Draper Corporation publication, Cotton Chats, and the piece of the wing was sent back to Hopedale by Ferdinand "Fanny" Spadoni. If you know anything about it, please let me know, and I'll pass the information on to the grand-nephew of Fanny who was the one who asked about it.

The next time you gaze up at this mausoleum in Hopedale Village Cemetery, give a thought to the interesting variety of people interred there: A general (William F. Draper), a lady from Nantucket (Lilla Joy Draper), two Southern belles (Susan Preston Draper and Matilda Grace Engman Draper), a businessman (Clare Hill Draper), a princess (Margaret Preston Draper), an artist (William F. Draper), and a murderer (Harry Draper - near bottom of Clare Draper page).
